Sailing - Airlie Beach race week 2015

A message from the Chairman of the Organising Committee

The Race Week Committee welcomes you to the Whitsundays for the 31st annual Airlie Beach Race Week Festival of Sailing. With around 120 entries, 12 divisions and close to 2,200 crew volunteers and officials, this year promises again to be a carnival of colour, competition and celebration.

Every afternoon and evening from August 8 to 15 there’s free live entertainment and a range of food stalls to be enjoyed at the Whitsunday Sailing Club after the racing.   Daily prize presentations will begin as soon as everyone is at the Club.

As in previous years a free shuttle service will run every 15 minutes on Race Days between Coral Sea Marina and The Whitsunday Sailing Club for those wearing the WSC Race Week Membership lanyard.

On Tuesday afternoon, August 13 we are moving the daily prize presentations to Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill. Again, a free shuttle will be on offer. Just make sure that you are wearing your lanyard.

We wish you fair winds on the water and look forward to welcoming you ashore at the Club.
