Sailing - Airlie Beach race week 2015

A message from the Chairman of the Organising Committee

The Race Week Committee welcomes you to the Whitsundays for the 33rd annual Airlie Beach Race Week Festival of Sailing. After the limitations of 2020 with Covid-19 restrictions, the orgianising committee is expecting a bumper year, with over 150 entries, including the Australian Multihull Championship and the introduction of Weta Trimarans and F16 / F18 fleets.  This will mean a fleet split into 15 divisions and close to 2,500 crew volunteers and officials, making this year a carnival of colour, competition and celebration.

Every afternoon and evening from August 12 to 19 there’s free live entertainment and a range of food stalls to be enjoyed at the Whitsunday Sailing Club after the racing.   Daily prize presentations will begin as soon as everyone is at the Club.

As in previous years a free shuttle service will run every 15 minutes on Race Days between Coral Sea Marina and The Whitsunday Sailing Club for those wearing the WSC Race Week Membership lanyard.

We wish you fair winds on the water and look forward to welcoming you ashore at the Club.
