Dates for the 2018 Airlie Beach Race Week have been confirmed as follows:

Racing is across multiple divisions, including IRC, PHS, cruising, sportsboats, one design and multihulls, and takes place around the breathtaking islands of the Whitsunday Passage and in Pioneer Bay.

Registration Day is on Thursday 9rh of August. Racing starts on Friday 10th August and finishes on Thursday 16th August. There will be races each day except the lay day on Monday 13th August.

In the afternoons and evenings check out the daily onshore entertainment and activities.

There is also plenty for the family here in Airlie Beach. The foreshore offers a great lagoon, there are resorts to visit, day trips around the islands, beaches to enjoy and snorkeling for the more active. August temperatures are typically 29 degrees and the water temperature a tropical 28 degrees.

With entries not due to close until Monday 2 August, Airlie Beach Race Week has already reached an unprecedented high of 139 boats, outstripping the event’s record of 133 in 2016 and more than doubled those of 2020 when COVID interfered.
